Si è svolta il 3 settembre 2026 al Rwanda Polytechnic – Kigali College la GREATER Final Conference and Exhibition dove sono stati presentati i risultati del progetto che propone soluzioni concrete e il loro impatto sulle comunità, guardando al futuro della cooperazione tra Rwanda ed Europa a sostegno della transizione energetica del Paese, dell’accesso universale all’elettricità e della riduzione della povertà energetica.
Il programma GREATER (Growing Rwanda Energy Awareness Through Higher Education, https://www.greaterproject.eu/), finanziato dal programma EU Erasmus+, è coordinato dall’Università di Parma e comprende 4 partners europei (tra i quali il CNR-IMEM) e 4 ruandesi, con l’obiettivo di rafforzare l’alta formazione e le competenze professionali nel settore dell’energia pulita e rinnovabile ed il coinvolgimento delle comunità locali attraverso la creazione di Living Labs in diverse aree del paese.
The GREATER Final Conference and Exhibition took place on September 3, 2026, at the Rwanda Polytechnic – Kigali College. The project's results were presented, proposing concrete solutions and their actual impact on the community. This project looks to the future of cooperation between Rwanda and Europe to support the country's energy transition, the universal access to electricity, and the reduction of energy poverty.
The GREATER program (Growing Rwanda Energy Awareness Through Higher Education, https://www.greaterproject.eu/), funded by the EU Erasmus+ program, is coordinated by the University of Parma and includes four European partners (including CNR-IMEM) and four Rwandan partners. The aim is to strengthen higher education and professional skills in the clean and renewable energy sector and to promote the involvement of local communities through the creation of Living Labs in various areas of the country.
