Research and projects in IMEM on innovative magnetic materials for the Green Energy Transition

In this presentation, the research activities and the present and future projects of the Institute regarding the development of magnetic materials for the Green Transition are illustrated. The research is mainly focused on the preparation and characterization of Rare Earth free or lean hard magnetic materials, magnets and some applications. A key objective is to prepare functional materials with reduced amount of Critical Raw Materials that will employed in motors for Green energy generation/transformation and for sustainable mobility. The different projects that support these investigations will be presented.
