Dr. Victor Erokhin

PhD, Senior Scientist (ISI VoS h=30)

Victor received his MS degree in Physics and Engineering in 1983 (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology), PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences in 1990 (Institute of Crystallography, Russian Academy of Sciences). Since 2011 works in IMEM-CNR. Editor in Chief of BioNanoScience (Springer) and member of the editorial board of other international scientific journals. He was the chairman (co-chairman) of International Conferences (Symposia in Conferences).

Dr. Pasquale D’Angelo

PhD, Researcher

Pasquale D’Angelo graduated in Physics and got his PhD in Innovative Technologies for Materials, Sensors and Imaging at the University of Naples Federico II. He spent his postdoc fellowship in national (ISMN-CNR) and international (ISIS-Strasbourg, Imperial College London) realities. He moved to the IMEM-CNR institute to serve as research scientist in 2012. From there, his research activity has been focused on the topic Organic Electronics & Bioelectronics and on micro-nano technologies targeted to applications in biomedicine. He is currently focusing his interest on the implementation (design, fabrication and characterization) of different electrical and electrochemical biosensing devices and integrated platforms (such as biosensors for PoC), on the development of drug delivery systems (such as electrically-driven free standing and implantable platforms for local therapy) and neuromorphic devices, with a particular attention onto 3D printed artifacts.

Dr. Simone Luigi Marasso

PhD,  Researcher

His current position is role Researcher at CNR-IMEM and he is responsible for the research activities at the operative unit at the Politecnico di Torino. He received his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2005. After obtaining his PhD in Electronic Devices in 2010, he conducted a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship and he worked in Chilab, materials and microsystem laboratory of Politecnico di Torino, Chivasso (TO), Italy. Since 2018, he is involved in the foundation of the Piemonte Quantum Enabling Technology LAB, in which he is contributing for the cleanroom design and set-up. His expertise in the process implementation, gained in the laboratory research work, will allow to define the design, select the better materials and solutions for the fabrication of the sensors and their integration in the Organ on a Chip biosensing platform.

Dr. Matteo Cocuzza

PhD,  Associated Professor at DiSAT, Politecnico di Torino

Matteo Cocuzza got his MD in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Devices in 2003. Currently Professor at the Dept. of Applied Science and Technology of Politecnico di Torino and associated researcher of IMEM-CNR. In 1998, he was one of the founders of the Chilab-Materials and Microsystems Laboratory. He is currently lecturer of master's degree courses related to MEMS, micro- and nano-technologies, also in the framework of the International Master Degree in Nanotechnologies for ICT (joined master between Politecnico di Torino, INPG Grenoble and EPFL Lausanne). His research activity is focused on MEMS and microsensors for industrial applications, on the development of microfluidics and lab-on-a-chip for biomedical applications and, more recently, on the development and application of polymeric 3-D printing technologies.

Dr. Giuseppe Tarabella

PhD,  Researcher

Giuseppe Tarabella received his PhD in 2012 in Science and Technology of Innovative Materials at the University of Parma. He worked in the Organic Bioelectronics area, with Organic Electrochemical Transistors (OECT) applied as biosensors. As part as his PhD program, he spent 3 months in 2009 at the University of Cornell, in the group of Prof. George Malliaras. He is author of 30 peer-reviewed papers and 3 books chapters. In 2015 he contributed to the writing of the successfully funded regional project Therseo, devoted to the development of new wearable sensors based on conjugated polymers. He worked as Senior Research Scientist in the Health Research Group at Camlin Italy and as coordinator of the microfabrication unit of CAMLIN. Since Decembre 2021 is researcher at the IMEM Institute, with research interests in organic bioelectronics and unconventional computing.

Dr. Silvia Battistoni

PhD,  Researcher

Silvia Battistoni obtained her MD in Material Science and Technology from University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2013 and the P.h.D. degree (CUM LAUDE) in Material Science and Technology from University of Parma in 2017. After 3 year of Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at CNR-IMEM, she is now serving as Researcher at CNR-IMEM where her research activity is placed in the framework of Organic Electronics & Bioelectronics especially in the design,assembly and characterization of polymer-based electronic devices for sensing and neuromorphic applications. 

 

Dr. Roman Sajapin

PhD, Fellow Researcher 

Roman Sajapin completed his M.Sc. degree in chemistry at the University of Freiberg, Germany, in 2018 and finished his PhD program in Materials Science and Technology at the University of Parma, Italy, in 2022, during which his research was focused on the development of polyelectrolyte and conductive polymeric materials for the implementation in polyaniline-based organic memristive devices. He is currently a research fellow, focusing his work on fibroin-based drug delivery systems and developing methods to fabricate devices including neuromorphic/memristive systems by additive manufacturing and 3D fabrication.

 

Aris Liboà

PhD candidate 

Aris Liboà, born in Turin, graduated cum laude in food safety and food risk management in University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) and currently Ph.D. Student in University of Parma (UNIPR), enrolled in the XXXVIII cycle of Ph.D. program in material science and technology. He carries out his study program through a collaboration between CNR–IMEM and Kemin Cavriago s.r.l., thanks to the research line on Organic Electronics & Bioelectronics active in IMEM through which producing electrochemical biosensors for application in biosensing field in presence of complex biological matrixes and then their application on real  productive processes in Kemin industries.
Among his main focuses, drug delivery, sensors printing and functionalization have primary importance for different applications in agrifood and medicine industries. Indeed, these topics have a significant impact for the sustainability on food and feed production and transformation. He is currently involved on the study and production of different coating for improving the shelf life of lipophilic vitamins, nanosponges production and implementation as a drug delivery, biosensors production and functionalization for in-line detection. Other fields of interest mainly regards volatilome analysis and characterization of different biological matrixes, MOX sensors’ design and implementation, sustainability on food production processes.

Dr. Salvatore Iannotta

PhD,  Associated Scientist

 

Salvatore Iannotta got his Laurea Degree in Physics at the University of Bologna (1976) and his PhD in Chemistry at the (uelph Waterloo Centre for Graduate Work in Chemistry- Waterloo - Ontario Canada (1984). Currently, he is an Associate Research Director of IMEM. He has been Professor up to 2020 at the PhD School on Science and Technology of Materials of the University of Parma (since 2009). He also has been Director of IMEM-CNR (Institute of Materials for Electronics and Magnetism) from 2008 to 2018. Member of the board of directors of the Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK) and of scientific/stirring committees of national and International conferences, he has been the coordinator of several research projects on a national and international basis in the fields of nanostructured, molecular, organics, hybrid materials and related systems, including their applications to gas and bio-sensing, energy (photovoltaics in particular) and biomedicine.
